Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) Bokaro Steel Plant is inviting online applications for the post of Attendant cum Technician Trainee (Grade- S-1). There are a total of 85 vacancies, including 35 vacancies for unreserved candidates, 10 vacancies for SC candidates, 22 vacancies for ST candidates, 10 vacancies for OBC candidates, 8 vacancies for EWS candidates.
Eligibility Criteria
- Upper Age Limit (as of 01/05/2023): 28 years
- Essential Minimum Qualification (as of 25/11/2023): Matriculation and successful completion of a one-year apprenticeship training in the designated trade from an integrated steel plant, along with a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by the National Council for Vocational Training.
Medical Standards: Candidates must be in good physical and mental health to effectively perform their job. Selected candidates will undergo a medical examination, and they must meet the following minimum standards:
Physical Standards:
- Male:
- Height: 155 cms
- Weight: 45 Kgs
- Chest measurement: 75 cm (79 cm on expansion)
- Female:
- Height: 143 cms
- Weight: 35 Kgs
- Chest measurement: 70 cm (73 cm on expansion)
Visual Standards:
- Distant Vision: 6/12 in both eyes with or without glasses (one step reduction after the age of 35 years)
- Near Vision: J1 or N6 in both eyes, with glasses not exceeding +4 D
- Normal in Lantern test with maximum aperture
Selection Procedure
The selection of candidates will be done through a computer-based test (CBT) and a skill/trade test. The weightage of marks for the CBT will be 100%, and the skill/trade test will be of a qualifying nature.
Training
Selected candidates will undergo a 2-year training period followed by one year of probation. After successful completion of the training, they will be regularized in their initial Grade with a minimum basic pay.
Salary and Benefits
The selected candidates will be placed on training for a period of two years followed by one year of probation. On successful completion of the training period, they will be regularized in their initial grade at the minimum basic pay of their respective grades.
The salary and other benefits for the post of Attendant cum Technician Trainee are as follows:
- Scale of Pay: ₹25,070/-3%-₹35,070/-
- Other Benefits: Medical facility for self and family, provident fund, gratuity, LTC, etc., as per rules of the company.
