Aadhaar-PAN linking deadline extended: The government has given people three more months to connect their Permanent Account Number (PAN) to their Aadhaar card. This means taxpayers have until June 30, 2023, to do this. The Income Tax department previously made it mandatory to connect PAN to Aadhaar by March 31, 2023. If someone doesn’t connect their PAN to their Aadhaar by June 30, their PAN will become inactive, meaning they can’t file their tax returns or use some banking and stock market services.
