After serving as CEO of YouTube for nine years, Susan Wojcicki announced on February 16, 2023 that she is stepping down from her position at the video-sharing company.
Wojcicki shared her “personal update” with YouTube staff in the morning, which was later made public on the site. In her update, Wojcicki explained that she wants to prioritize her personal life, family, and some personal projects, which is why she has decided to step down from her role at YouTube.
